Childbirth Preparation Classes
Are you looking for a class that will let you know what to expect when “it’s time?” Would you like to learn about the birth process, comfort measures, relaxation, and breathing techniques? I will provide you information on birthing options and encourage you to be as knowledgeable as possible, providing you with the tools you need to trust your body and have the childbirth experience that you desire.
Available as a private class or for small groups. Partner or support person strongly encouraged to attend.
Prenatal Breastfeeding Classes
Even though breastfeeding is natural and best for mom and baby, it is a learned skill. This class will provide you with the information you need to get you started on the right path. In this class you will learn about typical newborn nursing behaviors, how to know if the baby is getting enough, proper latch, breast care, breast pumps and returning to work. We will also cover all the things you really want to ask, such as “Can I have a glass of wine?” and “Is there anything I shouldn’t eat?”

Private Breastfeeding Consultations
“Breastfeeding seemed to be going great in the hospital, but now I’m home and it seems to be falling apart!” or “My nipples are so sore!” Do either of these statements sound familiar? If you are having breastfeeding difficulties that cannot be fixed over the phone, an in person one-on-one consultation is available. Breastfeeding can be a rough road, but rest assured we can get you back on track and provide you with the support and encouragement you need!
Baby Basics Class
Do you wish your baby was going to come out with an instruction manual in hand? Well, unfortunately there is no manual, however this is the next best thing! In this baby basics class we will cover everything you need to know to feel comfortable bringing your baby home. You will learn about typical newborn behaviors, feeding, burping, bathing, cord care, diapering, circumcision care, swaddling and soothing. We will also discuss how to best take care of you during those first days and weeks. A great class for first time parents or those who feel like they need a refresher!
Personal Baby Nurse
Would you like a nurse who is specialized in post-partum and infant care to come and help you get settled with your new bundle of joy? As your personal baby nurse, I will provide you hands on help and education with newborn care, breastfeeding, mom’s recovery, nursery organization, and layette shopping. Perfect for helping to put your mind at ease as you transition into your new role as a parent.
